Minh Thu's Artistry Avenue
Me And Art
In my works, I potrayed a small piece of my hometown Vietnam and its beauty. Vietnam is where I grew up, where I was raised among nature and my beloved ones and played a great part creating who I am - "Minh Thu" in the present. I hope that through my art, people can catch a glimpse of my beautiful country Vietnam and be able to connect with my works, riding on a rollercoaster of emotions.

Crimson Sky (20/8/2016)
Medium: Oil Painting
Description: The most beautiful sky I've ever come across was the sunset I saw upon returning to my hometown after three years. The sky was ablaze with red as autumn leaves flew gracefully in the wind. Vivid hues of orange, red, and yellow blended seamlessly across the sky, casting a warm glow over the landscape. How spectacular it must have been for a 9-year-old girl!Lullaby of the River (17/7/2017)
Medium: Oil Painting
Description: The late evening brought a sense of calm as the river continued its gentle course through the homes of the villagers. Observing such a scene made me realize that there was also another side to the hustle and bustle of Vietnam. Beneath the enchanting purple glow of the sky, a boat glided slowly and aimlessly, as if to embrace the serenity of the river and explore the hidden depths of Vietnam.Woodland Wanderlust (8/4/2018)
Medium: Oil Painting
Description: Can I go? That must have been in my "Top 10 most asked questions" when I was younger. I recalled my strong yearning to explore the world, and I believe nothing could embody that longing more perfectly than a forest as I’ve always dreamed of venturing into the woods and discovering all that lies within.Way Back Home (5/9/2020)
Medium: Oil Painting
Description: Yellow leaves fell down continuously, one after another. An avenue of stately trees opened up in front of my face. The squirrels were munching on their nuts, generating that endearing little sound again. The brisk breeze of autumn wrapped around me, seemingly congratulating me on my first day of school. I recalled every single detail, every moment of my delightful journey home.Hanoi's Colorful Mosaic (7/5/2022)
Medium: Oil Painting
Description: The golden sunlight playfully dances on the red-tiled roofs, weaving through the cool green leaves of the ancient banyan tree, falling onto the moss-covered walls, and brightening the little street. Women carrying street vendor baskets call out in a corner of the Old Quarter, blending with the jingling sounds of cycle rickshaws and the graceful laughter of Hanoi girls in flowing ao dai. Together, they create a symphony of a daily moment in the life of the old town's residents.Echoes of Childhood (28/8/2024)
Medium: Lacquer Painting
Description:
Childhood (noun)
Definition: Those days when, despite having dust and sand stuck to bare feet, you ran towards that pure, untroubled joy by your friends.
Holding the coarse rope in hands, memories come rushing back like a storm. It’s the feeling as if you hold a mystical strength at your fingertips, the smiles shared as we all aim for the one victory, and the enthusiastic cheers that heighten the excitement to its peak. All of them, collectively, weave into a genuinely beautiful piece of memory…
